Senior Year Accountability

 Senior Year

How do you plan to stay motivated and focused during your senior year to accomplish your goals, however small or large they may be ?

All throughout my Junior Year, I went through lots of trials and errors during that super busy and figuring out how to work out all sort of events, afterschool programs, my part-time job, self care and assignments that needed to get done. One big goal at the end of Senior Year isn't only to just graduate but graduate feeling more than satisfied about the classes I took and keeping in mind why I worked so hard in the first place. The one thing that constantly motivates me is the fact I want to make my family proud. I understand and know the difference in doing what I dream of for them & for myself. I feel I can constantly do more and more about what's available to me. I also understand that the job prospective in STEM careers are increasing lots in software engineering, business, marketing as well as medicine and product development. I always feel the need to learn EVERYTHING because I'm not sure of anything yet. I feel I have lots of knowledge about setting schedules since I started high school. And I feel that I have the blessing of having a strong passion of being able to conquer what comes in my way. My biggest goal is to become one of the top 5% of Latinas to have a Master's or PHD. I am still trying to figure out what I want to major in, it's in between Biochemistry, Computer Science, or possibly having dual majors. School means the world to me because I feel I can help set a generational wealth for my family.

I don't have a set way of motivating and making myself focus during my Senior Year because I'm constantly adapting the way I feel to how my every week will be looking like. I tend to keep to myself most of the time which is why I don't have many distractions in terms of being social. I also feel I have my my mindset heavily set on what I want to do and how I'm going to achieve it. I will continue to keep doing what works for me and update my tactics if necessary.
